University Awards

The University Awards were established to recognize students who embody service excellence, dedication, or whose academic achievements remain stellar. They are among the most prestigious awards at KU.

Self Graduate Fellowship

The Madison and Lila Self Graduate Fellowship was established at KU in 1989 to identify and recruit exceptional doctoral students who demonstrate leadership, initiative and a passion for achievement. The fellowships are four-year awards to new or first-year doctoral students that cover full tuition and fees, provides $30,500 graduate research assistant support a year for new fellows, a $5,500 professional development award, and includes a unique development program.

Wounded Warrior Scholarship

The Wounded Warrior Scholarship Fund was established by Graduate Military Programs in 2012. Recipients receive up to $10,000 per year and the scholarships are renewable for up to four academic years.
